Golf Club Guard of Honour

Bride and groom out of focus with grass and flora in the foreground

It's the 8th of July 2023 and Daniel & Nicola are getting married!

I think I'm starting to sound like a broken record on my blog. Always wanting to say "This was another special wedding". The reality is that is was, and really I guess most weddings are. I just appreciate being part of these moments. It makes the job more rewarding.

This was another very local job for me, with the ceremony taking place at St James' Church in Buxworth, and the reception at Chapel-en-le-Frith Golf Club, everything was within about 3 miles of where I live. You've got to love an easy commute.

Of course distance is no obstacle. I'm used to working all over the UK and even overseas, so wherever your wedding is; give me a call and count me in!

P.S. Wedding VIPs... you'll find a link to download all of the days photos at the bottom of this blog (password required).

Stone terrace house adorned with multi-coloured bunting

The day started following both the bride and groom parties at two separate terraces in Buxworth, Derbyshire.

The novelty was they were only two doors apart, so I could jump quickly between both houses with a cheeky bit of garden hopping.

In case you're wondering from the photo above... They don't live in a rough area, just opposite a cricket ground.

Brown dog wearing a black tie outfit

Of course the pup had to be in one of the photos, and actually he makes another star appearance further down this page.

Sisters laughing in the rain under a translucent umbrella

Yes in case you're wondering it did rain for large parts of the day from 11am onwards. Fear not, my trusty wedding umbrellas always make these days more enjoyable.

If you were wondering how this blog found its title, the above image should help.

A successful church service complete, it was nearly time to head over to Chapel-en-le-Frith Golf club for the reception party.

Time to walk around the golf course for the couple photos (whilst keeping an eye out for wayward golf balls).

The speeches were a hit. Not least Daniel's thoughtful words and comic timing.

As a Manchester Utd fan this pains me a bit, but fair enough, well done lads.

No empty dance floors at this wedding. Really wanted to get involved myself. Maybe I should sometime.
